Our Founder
Dear Friends,
Welcome to the Future Faith Foundation.
This mission was born out of my own journey through pain, healing, and ultimately — purpose. For years, I carried the weight of generational dysfunction, personal trauma, and unanswered questions. But through God’s grace, I found restoration, and with that healing came a calling: to reach back and help the next generation rise up with faith, confidence, and hope.
The Future Faith Foundation was created as a safe place for young people to grow spiritually, emotionally, and mentally — to know that they are seen, known, and deeply loved by a God who has a plan for them. I believe that when we equip youth with faith and leadership skills rooted in compassion and truth, we don't just change their lives — we change entire communities.
This foundation is more than a nonprofit. It's a movement of healing, transformation, and future-building. Whether you’re here to learn more, volunteer, support, or simply find hope — I want you to know that you’re welcome, and your presence matters.

About Kathy Finlan
Kathy Finlan is a visionary leader and passionate advocate for healing, faith, and generational transformation. As the founder of the Future Faith Foundation, she brings years of personal experience, professional insight, and unwavering purpose to her mission of creating safe, empowering spaces for youth to grow and thrive in God's presence.
A salon business owner since 2007 and hairstylist since 1996, Kathy has spent nearly three decades building deep, lasting relationships with her clients and community. Her work behind the chair has been more than a profession — it’s been a ministry of listening, connection, and compassion. Over the years, she has learned just as much from the stories of those she’s served as she has from her own healing journey.
Kathy is also a creative at heart. Her passions include writing, photography, graphic design, interior decorating, and gardening — all of which bring her peace, joy, and a deeper connection to God’s beauty in everyday life. In 2022, she published Recovering from Generational Dysfunction, a deeply personal book that offers hope to anyone struggling to rise from the pain of their past.
About ten years ago, Kathy felt a growing call to advocate for youth, recognizing the urgent need for faith-based leadership and emotional healing in young lives. That passion led to the birth of the Future Faith Foundation in 2023 — a platform rooted in faith, compassion, and the belief that no one is beyond redemption.
With bold faith and a gentle spirit, Kathy uses her voice and her story to remind others that trauma may shape us, but it doesn’t define us — and with God, healing is always possible.

About Jon Finlan
Jon Finlan is an accomplished and experienced leader who brings strategic insight, operational excellence, and steadfast commitment to his role as Secretary of the Future Faith Foundation. With a strong background in operations, financial management, internal controls, and execution, Jon plays a vital role in supporting the foundation’s mission and organizational integrity.
As a seasoned executive and current CEO of Absolute Fire Protection, Jon has built a career marked by leadership, accountability, and trust. He has been a key member of corporate leadership teams, consistently fostering effective relationships with senior management, external partners, and regulators. His ability to manage complex systems and drive results has made him a respected voice in both business and nonprofit circles.
Beyond his professional expertise, Jon is a devoted husband and a proud father. His unwavering support has been instrumental in the development and growth of the Future Faith Foundation. With a servant’s heart and a deep belief in the power of faith and family, Jon is passionate about creating opportunities for youth to rise above life’s challenges and discover their God-given purpose.
Treasurer, Future Faith Foundation
About Nora Rucinski
Nora Rucinski brings over 29 years of experience in financial systems and strategic analysis to her role as Treasurer of the Future Faith Foundation. She retired from a long and successful career at COINS, where she served as a Senior Programmer/Analyst and contributed to operational and financial excellence for nearly three decades.
Nora earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Siena College and has built a career marked by precision, integrity, and thoughtful leadership in financial operations and systems programming.
In addition to her role with the foundation, Nora currently assists with financial operations at both St. Pius X Church and Christ Our Light Church in Loudonville, NY. Her continued dedication to these faith communities speaks to her heart for service and her desire to give back through her gifts.
As Treasurer, Nora is a trusted steward of the Future Faith Foundation’s finances, blending her professional expertise with a deep commitment to the mission of empowering and uplifting the next generation through faith, healing, and hope.
